Pittsburgh-area diagnostic visits
Refrigerator Not Cooling?
A warm refrigerator needs attention. Tell us whether the fresh-food compartment, freezer or both have changed temperature.
$80 diagnostic visit, credited toward your repair if you proceed. If you decline, the $80 remains due. You receive the repair price before work begins.
One compartment or both?
A warm refrigerator compartment with a cold freezer is a different starting point from an appliance that is warm throughout. Note which section changed first, whether the display is on and whether the usual running sound has changed. These observations help plan the diagnosis; they do not prove which part has failed.
Frost, temperature and door closure
Record any temperature reading already visible on the display and when the change began. Mention frost visible without removing panels, a door that will not close or an issue that started after loading groceries. Protect temperature-sensitive contents while arranging service; parts may require a follow-up visit.
Ice maker or cooling problem?
If food remains cold but the ice maker stops producing ice, include that distinction when booking. Mention whether the water dispenser still works. A cooling complaint and an ice-making complaint may need different checks.
Prepare for a refrigerator visit
Tell us whether the refrigerator is freestanding or built into cabinetry. Clear the approach and note narrow entrances or stairs. Do not pull out the appliance or remove covers to locate its model label. A visible label or purchase record helps, but is not required to book.
